Contracting with Individuals

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) generally does not issue research agreements directly to individuals due to compliance with federal and institutional policies, risk management considerations, and tax implications.

Instead, the University typically partners with organizations, such as institutions of higher education, non-profits, or businesses, which have the necessary infrastructure and compliance mechanisms to manage sponsored research funds and comply with research contract terms and conditions appropriately.
