The University of Pittsburgh often receives Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to obtain information from federal proposal applications. The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) coordinates with the Office of University Counsel (OUC) to assist faculty in understanding the request and in the redaction process and return the materials by the requested due date. Institutional support is provided to ensure that private and sensitive information is appropriately redacted.
